The original Nikon F Photomic user's manual. The Nikon F was purchased by its original owner at Finn's Cameras in St. Paul, Minnesota. By the way, Finn's Cameras is still in business, as a son of the owner recently got married.

Top view of the Nikon F. You can see the serial number, the film rewind crank (folds out on a hinge), shutter release (has a red dot on it), film counter and film advance lever.

Rear view of Nikon F. You can see the viewfinder (near center), film rewind crank (left), shutter speed selection (1/250 sec.), film advance lever, and shutter release. The small button in the recess, left of the viewfinder, releases the viewfinder prism and also the focus screen inside. The focus screen is of the split-image rangefinder type.

The trusty Weston Master III Exposure Meter. I use this in conjunction with the Nikon F to get the proper exposure. It doesn't require batteries, as it's powered by a selenium cell. To be honest, I'm not quite so sure as to what angle of view I need to take into account when using this meter.

My new logo. Distorted the image of a lens on the Nikon F and put name and an image of my Nikon D200 "in the lens."

Cutting edge in 1962: Nikon F Photomic, alongside a cutting-edge camera from 2006: Nikon D200.

Both are a pleasure to shoot with.
