This gallery covers the Charles Street Jail, and its new incarnation as the Liberty Hotel.
I found some older (9/1/2005 and 10/2005) pictures in my collection and decided to post them, not because I think they are good photos (I knew really nothing at that time about composition and was learning about the technical aspects), but because they now represent a piece of history of Boston. I didn't realize until recently that I had photos of this building as the vacant jail in my collection, and I feel that from a historical standpoint, the photos belong here. They are the first 6 photos in the gallery...feel free to look at them quickly and forget them... :)
Now that the renovations are complete and the Liberty Hotel has opened, I intend at some point to shoot pictures of the hotel, which includes a bar and a restaurant.
As of of 2/4/2008, I've added photos of my first visit to the jail as the Liberty Hotel, and will probably return for more.
