A test roll of the Nikkor 14-24 f/2.8 lens. I tried out various focal lengths, apertures and focusing distances to be sure that all was well and the lens is everything that everybody says it is. The emphasis here was not so much on compositional quality as it is on the technical aspects of the lens' abilities. A number of these are shot handheld, but most are on tripod to eliminate the possibility of camera shake taking away from image sharpness.
My first frame fired off with the 14-24. Only problem: I didn't check my camera settings before starting, and found that I had ISO 1000, so some graininess can be found in the archway and windows. I wound up shooting off 65 pictures with that ISO setting...and when I realized it, I returned and reshot, with ISO 100.
